Ryan Morris has worked for several municipal police departments in Central Pennsylvania after receiving a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Mercyhurst University until he was hired by Penn State Police Department- Harrisburg in Oct 1998, where he was assigned several roles within the department to include Firearms Instructor, Use of Force Instructor, Hazardous Materials Technician and Officer in Charge during the Chief’s absence. In 2003 he was afforded the opportunity to be trained as a FBI certified Bomb Technician by attending the Hazardous Devices School located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. He remains an active Pennsylvania Police Officer working for Highspire Police Department on a part-time basis.

 

Mr. Morris joined the Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration in October 2007 as a Supervisory Explosive Specialist. He was responsible for providing assistance to Supervisory Transportation Security Officers (STSO) during the alarm resolution process, responsible for conducting constant training to the entire screening workforce on all topics associated with IED’s, Explosives, and Terrorist Trade Craft, and was a liaison between the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and all other local Government and State      

Agencies dealing with IED’s, Explosives, and Terrorist Trade Craft. Mr. Morris has been a Security Specialist with the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT), Region III since 2000.  He was deployed to the Flight 93 crash site in Somerset, Pennsylvania for several weeks following September 11, 2001.

 

Mr. Morris is the owner of Tripwire Operations Group, LLC. Tripwire is an ATF licensed Explosives and Firearm’s importer/importer/dealer/manufacturer Mr. Morris holds a blasters license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the FBI Hazardous Devices School, ATFE Advanced Explosive Destruction Techniques Course, ATFE Underwater Explosive Recovery Specialist Course, AT Solutions Underwater Explosive Search Course, FBI Post Blast Investigations Course, TEES Basic and Advanced Explosive Entry Techniques Course, Basic Electronics for IED Course, USMC CBIRF WMD Explosive Ordinance Disposal Seminar and the FBI Robotics Course. Mr. Morris is a member of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #78, National Tactical Officers Association, International Society of Explosive Engineers, Pennsylvania Narcotic Officers Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association, and Masonic Lodge #143.
