Christopher Rainwater, M.S.

Chris Rainwater received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida, his Master of Science degree from Mercyhurst University, and is currently a PhD candidate at New York University. Chris works as a forensic anthropologist for the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in New York City and has been actively engaged in anthropological casework in all five boroughs for over a decade. He also serves as the Director of Photography for the agency. Mr. Rainwater’s research interests include skeletal variation in body size, updating forensic anthropological methods to fit a modern forensic landscape, and skeletal trauma. He recently co-edited a book entitled Skeletal Trauma: Case Studies in Context.
